Givonna, the audience at the Jazz and Heritage Festival took great delight in your entire presentation. You always look like you're having so much fun onstage -- people pick up on that. With your ebullience, verve and sass, you end up changing people's view of opera as stiff or dull. It was great exposure for you and your group OperaCreole); but the audience in (and outside!) the tent were the true beneficiaries. They came away with an unexpected pleasure -- hearing a group honor culturally-rich, historically-significant music but also deliver the goods by collaborating with a local legend, such as John Boutte, on a song from the recent past. You won them over. Sometimes that is the best kind of pleasure for an audience -- to be thoroughly entertained by something they had not expected.

Reviews
I was able to hear Ms. Givonna Joseph, mezzo soprano, accompanied on the piano by Mr. Printzgintas, as she sang with great feeling three arias, one by Bach and Albinas, one by Ponchielli, and one by a rarely heard composer, Edmond Dede, described as a Free Man of Color. Mr. Dede is yet to come into his own as one of our finest composers, but those dedicated to the performance or composition of music know his name well. Ms. Giovanna Joseph’s velvety voice filled the church with heartfelt and deeply moving song. Patrick Shannon, III Ambush Magazine.

When I hear Ms. Joseph singing so marvelously about "The Holy City" (by far my favorite track), I have a renewed faith in my New Orleans. Thank you! Bravi!

Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Pie Jesu" flow smoothly and serenely, and Givonna creates an incredibly peaceful sonic landscape with her Mozart performance.

Givonna-I had an enormous amount of people tell me how incredible you were. I was so pleased with your pweformance. You had so many of our guests in tears with the Ave Maria as well as myself. It was absolutely touching and mostly what impresses me about your singing is your spirituality. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for sharing your God Given talent with us and our family. Jason and I truly appreciate it. Joie. (Article from WeddingsHouston magazine)
